Butzhammer Versus Wigg

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

After a flop of {5-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}, Thomas Butzhammer check-called a bet of 1,200 by Anton Wigg and did so again after the {2-Diamonds} turn for 3,200. Once the {8-Hearts} appeared on the river, Butzhammer checked and then took very long before announcing all in when Wigg had made another bet worth 6,800.

Wigg took equally long before mucking his cards.

C-Bet From Firasu

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Vasili Firsau opened for 700 and got calls from Dmitry Yurasov and Jean-Noel Thorel in the blinds.

The flop was {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Firsau continued for 1,000 when it was checked to him. Yurasov was his only customer and they checked it down on the turn {4-Spades} and river {q-Clubs}.

Firasu shrugged so Yurasov showed him his {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} to bring the matter to a close.

Two Pair For Litvinov

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Tobias Peters opened the action for 700 from first position and got three callers including Artem Litvinov and Vladimir Novitckii.

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} it was Litvinov who was the first to show interest with a bet of [2,500] and Novitckii the one who stuck around with a call.

They checked the turn {10-Diamonds} and on the river {2-Hearts} Novitckii check-called a bet of 1,500 from Litvinov who showed the {k-Spades}{2-Spades} winner to a shake of the head from Novitckii who couldn’t beat two pair.

Djadi Recovers

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Djilali Djadi won his entry to this tournament in the Live Satellite last night and defended his big blind against a min raise. On the {J-Spades} {K-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} flop, he check-called a bet of 500 and did so again for 1,000 after the {2-Spades} turn. The Frenchman then bet the {7-Spades} river for 4,000 and was called to reveal {A-Spades} {8-Spades} for the nut flush.

Markin Slips Further

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Leonid Markin defended his small blind against a raise and Rhys Jones also stuck around from the button. Markin check-called a bet of 2,100 by Jones whereas the initial raiser in the hand folded. On the {3-Clubs} turn both players checked and Markin bet the {2-Hearts} river for 6,200. Jones called with {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} and was good against the {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} of the Russian.

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Fady Kamar

Jan-Eric Schwippert was the first seat open and Raffaele Sorrentino would be the next one after a crazy hand that saw four pocket pairs involved. Balazs Botond managed to fold pocket jacks, Govert Metaal let some chips but mucked pocket queens. Sorrentino however would be at risk with {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and Fady Kamar looked him up with {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts}, as confirmed by the official EPT photographer Neil Stoddart, who caught the action.

Vieira Folds “Two Pair”

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Joao Vieira bet 2,500 on the turn of a board reading {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and got a call from Zoltan Szabo.

The river card was the scary looking {6-Hearts} and Vieira checked it over to Szabo who proceeded to bet 5,300 prompting a wide grin from Vieira.

“Two pair no good?” Vieira asked, but answer came there none. Vieira found the fold though and Szabo collected the chips just as he got moved to another table.
