Joseph El Khoury Eliminated in 10th Place (€38,080)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Joseph El Khoury
Joseph El Khoury

Benjamin Buhr opened for 80,000 under the gun and Joseph El Khoury shoved all in for 370,000 from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded and the decision was on Buhr again. Buhr made the call and it turned out things were looking pretty good for El Khoury.

Joseph El Khoury: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Benjamin Buhr: {6-Spades}{5-Spades}

As good as things looked before the flop, so bad was the situation for El Khoury after it: {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Buhr flopped the straight and El Khoury needed some help on the turn to even keep a little bit of hope. The {3-Clubs} as the fourth community card actually gave El Khoury some outs, but the {2-Diamonds} on the river wasn't one of them.

Joseph El Khoury eliminated in 10th place, netting him €38,080.

The remaining nine players are now redrawing for the unofficial final table of nine and are all guaranteed €46,400. One more player needs to fall before the official final table of eight is formed, no redraw will be done at that time. Play won't stop for the day when the final table is reached, play continues till only six players remain or a certain amount of levels are played.

Pollak Folds Top Two

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Benjamin Pollak was all in for his tournament life right after the break again, but once more he chopped the pot as he had the same hand as his opponent. This time he and Carlo Savinelli both had ace-queen. Not much later the French pro would face a much tougher situation.

Dany Parlafes opened the button for 85,000 and Benjamin Pollak in the big blind made the call. Pollak check called a bet of 90,000 on {10-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} and check called another 165,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn. The {9-Diamonds} on the river made Pollak check a third time. Parlafes shoved all in and all the pressure was on Pollak.

The Frenchman asked how much Parlafes was playing. Parlafes didn't answer, but did lift his arm to show a lot of towers of 25,000 chips.

Pollak thought for some time before open mucking {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

Dimov Jams on Buhr

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Massou Cohen was in the cutoff and he opened the action with a raise to 80,000. Ognyan Dimov was on the button and he cut out a three-bet to 225,000. Action folded over to Benjamin Buhr in the big blind and he thought for a moment before coming out with a cold four-bet to 450,000. Cohen folded his cards while Dimov opted to stick around.

The dealer put out a flop that read {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Buhr continued out for 325,000. Dimov jammed all in over the top with an all-in raise and Buhr quickly folded. Dimov took down the pot and brought his stack to 2.65 million.

Cohen Shoves on Dimov

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Picking up with the action with a completed board of {2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, Massou Cohen checked over to Ognyan Dimov.

Dimov tossed out a river bet of 285,000 only to have Cohen check-raise all in for about 790,000. Dimov instantly folded and Cohen threw {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} onto the felt for trip eights as he scooped the pot. Cohen is now up to about 1.4 million while Dimov has dropped to two million.

Pollak All In

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Matas Cimbolas opened to 60,000 from the hijack after having won a reasonable pot the hand before where he opened and four bet and got a fold.

Dany Parlafes three bet to 140,000 from the button and action folded to Benjamin Pollak in the big blind. The French pro announced all in for, what appeared to us like, 1.1 million. Cimbolas instantly folded, Parlafes called right away.

Benjamin Pollak: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Dany Parlafes: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Pollak got up and wasn't too happy with the {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, but could sit down again after the {4-Clubs} on the turn. The {6-Diamonds} on the river was there to make things official and in the last hand before the break the two of them chopped the blinds and antes and Cimbolas' raise.
