Dirty River Drowns Wydrowski

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Anatoly Filatov is keeping up his constant stream of chatter and it is currently directed at Chris Moorman a few seats away. Filatove opened the action with a bet of 10,000 from under the gun and Moorman three-bet him to 22,500.

Marcin Wydrowski seemed to be on the verge of getting involved prompting Filatov to cry, “Uh oh.” Wydrowski moved all in and after Moorman had the bet counted down and made the call. The two stacks were very similar. Filatov asked Moorman, “Ace-queen?” before he turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Wydrowski showed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

The cards fell {5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Spades} and Wydrowski was left to head to the pay-out desk muttering about the river.

Cody Doubles Through Behbehani

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

We arrived at the table in time to find massive action between Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody and Salman Behbehani. The pot was well over 250,000 with the completed board reading {6-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Cody moved all in for his last 154,000 sending Behbehani into the tank.

After the chips were counted down, Behbehani thought for roughly 30 additional seconds before flinging out three chips, signifying a call. Cody rolled over {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for two pair of aces and queens, besting Behbehani's {A-Spades}{7-Spades}. Behbehani's cards were pulled into the muck and Cody scooped the sizable pot, bringing his stack to 552,000.

Vieira Grabs The Lead

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Joao Vieira raised to 10,000 and Ezequiel Macho moved all in over the top for 59,500. The action folded back to Vieira who gave it some thought but eventually he made the call.

Vieira: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Macho: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The window card was the {5-Clubs} and Macho's big pair all of a sudden became very little. The rest of the flop showed {8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and neither the turn, the {A-Diamonds}, nor the river, the {2-Clubs}, changed anything about this hand.

Huge Pot For Erlandsson

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

We just walked into a huge pot with {10-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} fanned out in the middle of the table. The decision was on Adam Reynolds who was facing a shove big enough to risk his own tournament life. The shove was made by Daniel Erlandsson who kept his composure throughout the tanking process.

There was about 200,000 already in the middle when Reynolds eventually made the call for about 225,000 chips and Erlandsson immediately tabled {8-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight.

Reynolds mucked his cards and hit the rail while Erlandsson is now among the chip leaders.

Double for Dilling

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

There will be plenty of all-in and calls over the next level and Frei Dilling was involved in one of them. He was at risk against the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of Leo McClean but Dilling held the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

A final board of {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} left McClean short and a smile playing across the lips of Dilling.

Can You Take Me Haigh-er?

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Martijn Ardon
Martijn Ardon

Robert Haigh moved all in for his last 44,000 from the small blind and Martijn Ardon called out of the big blind. Haigh showed {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and was crushed by Ardon's {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Haigh found immense potential on the flop, however, as the dealer fanned {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and gave him a straight flush draw with the jack of diamonds. The turn bricked for him, pairing the board with the {8-Clubs}. The river ensured Haigh a double up, though, with the {7-Spades} to give him a winning straight.

Haigh now has about 95,000 while Ardon has dropped to 220,000.
