Only seven tables remain in the secondary tournament area one floor below and among those that have been eliminated in said tournament area were for example EPT Madrid champion Frederik Jensen, Martin Mulsow as well as Mayu Roca.
Russian WPT champion Alexander Lakhov just won a big pot by following through aggressively on all three streets. We picked up the action on the flop that showed when Lakhov bet 3,000 from the big blind and Emil Nosko, his only opponent, called from the cutoff.
There was a dead button in this hand and Nosko called after which the turn brought the .
Lakhov bet 7,300 on the turn and Nosko called again. The river brought the , but Lakhov didn't seem to interested in the card at hand. The stoic Russian casually flicked four blue chips worth 5,000 each into the pot, and that was enough to put Nosko all in.
Nosko looked back down at his cards and ultimately folded, leaving himself with 17,300 chips.
Just after the dinner break we spotted Mike McDonald with very little chips, and moments later they all played in the middle of the table.
The player on the button had raised to 1,100 after which McDonald moved all in for a little shy of 7,000 chips. Puglia Giampaolo, who was the initial raiser, made the call and created the following showdown.

On the river Sergeev emptied the clip with a 13,000 bet and called the extra when his German opponent raised all in for 15,900.
Spindler opened beating out Sergeev's inferior two pair with .
After a three-bet pot preflop, Sebastian Linden bet the turn for 12,500 and Salvatore Bonavena pushed all in. Linden called it off out of the big blind and flipped over for two pair whereas the Italian had for middle set. Only a queen was of help for the German, yet the dealer burned and turned the river.
Once the stacks were counted, Bonavena had 29,200 on the turn still and Linden was covered by roughly 1,000 chips.
Tobias Reinkemeier opened for 1,200 and the player in the hijack made the call. Fernando Brito called in the cutoff and the three of them all checked .
The on the turn made Reinkemeier check again. The hijack bet 2,700 and Brito folded. Reinkemeier called.
The concluded the community cards of the hand and Reinkemeier checked again. The hijack now bet 8,100 and Reinkemeier folded after some thinking.
Jan Peter Jachtmann opened for 1,200 from early position and action quickly folded to Pierre Neuville in the small blind. The Belgian pensionado made it 4,100 and Jachtmann called.
The flop came and Neuville bet 3,500. Jachtmann called again.
The fell on the turn and Neuville checked. Jachtmann now thought he didn't get enough change at some point in the hand, and we weren't to sure about the amounts so far either. The dealer counted the pot and concluded it was ok. Jachtmann agreed and checked behind.
The on the river made Neuville bet out 7,000. Jachtmann said he thought Neuville might have ace-king, but called anyway. Neuville didn't show ace-king but tabled . Jachtmann slammed on the table and won the pot.
