There were two big hands that unfolded right before the break.
In the first, Dmitry Kataev got his short stack all in preflop holding the and was looking to crack the of Steve Watts. The made it possible as Kataev picked up a flush draw, but he was left wanting as the blanked on the turn followed by the on the river. Kataev exited in 74th place.
Meanwhile, on the last hand of the level, Bjorn Wiesler, who was in the big blind, got his stack of 112,000 all in preflop and was in dire straits against Martin Jacobson.
