Vaillancourt Must Rebuild Again

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Bruno Volkmann open-shoved for 196,000 and Noah Vaillancourt reshoved from the button with the superior stack and {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. Volkmann was at risk with the {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and immediately fell in love with the {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} flop. After the {K-Clubs} turn, the Brazilian was guaranteed the double and the meaningless {4-Clubs} river was just a formality.

Lundgren Doubles Through Ivarsson

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After a raise to 32,000 by Alexander Ivarsson, Bjorn Lundgren moved all in for 296,000 from the big blind and his fellow Swede called to immediately sigh when he was shown the {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}. Ivarsson only had the {6-Hearts} {6-Spades} and failed to improve on the {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} board.

Shatilov Folds Good

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Joining the action on the {10-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {10-Hearts} river, Andrey Shatilov checked in the big blind and Hossein Ensan pushed a stack of yellow T-25,000 chips forward. Fresh off the bustout from Mitch Johnson, Ensan seemed very eager to score another knockout and Shatilov ultimately folded the {J-Spades}.

"Good fold for you," Ensan added and then flashed his {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} for rivered trips.

Puglia Picks the Wrong Spot to Shove

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded to Giampaolo Puglia on the button and he opened for 38,000. EPT London champ Robin Ylitalo pushed back with a three-bet to 96,000 from the big blind, and Puglia thought for a long time before four-bet shoving for 460,000. Ylitalo made the call and Puglia discovered he'd picked a bad spot.

Puglia: {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Ylitalo: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Puglia needed some help to crack Ylitalo's pair, but that proved easier said than done as the board ran out a lackluster {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. With that, Puglia took his leave from the feature table and Ylitalo came one step closer to capturing his second EPT title.

Pospiech Busts to Aido

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After a shaky start, Sergio Aido's day is going from strength to strength. His stack has passed 1.2 million after he busted the cheery Marius Pospiech.

Pospiech had 165,000 left when he moved all in for 165,000 from under the gun. Aido was on the button and made the call.

Pospiech: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Aido: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board ran {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Pospiech was already saying, "Good luck guys!" after the turn left him drawing dead.

Duda Takes from Zapatero

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Antonin Duda bet the {4-Hearts} {A-Spades} {4-Spades} flop for 34,000 and Javier Gomez Zapatero called from the button before the {2-Hearts} arrived on the turn. Again Duda bet, this time for 68,000 and was called. With the {J-Hearts} river completing the board, the Czech fired 166,000 and was paid off to reveal {K-Hearts} {8-Hearts} for a flush.

Moolhuizen's Ladies Escort Alvarado Out of the Building

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

We missed how the action unfolded, but we do know JC Alvarado got his last 230,000 all in from the big blind and was at risk against Mateusz Moolhuizen, who was on the button.

Moolhuizen: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Alvarado: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Alvarado was in a bad spot, and his best chance at surviving was to find an ace. The {5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop left him wanting, as did the {5-Diamonds} turn. Alvarado needed an ace from space, but it didn't come as the {3-Clubs} blanked on the river. Alvarado officially bowed out in 38th place for €17,100.

Pospiech Short Again After Doubling

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Marius Pospiech has his work cut out again after he doubled up Javier Rodriguez.

He opened to 32,000 and called after Rodriquez shoved for 126,000.

Pospiech: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Rodriquez: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Pospiech was dominated and failed to come from behind on a {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades} board.
