Daher Pays Kotas

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Albert Daher faced a bet of 10,200 on the river of a board reading {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} from Jakub Kotas.

Kotas was chatting away to other players seemingly without a care in the world while Daher tried to talk the hand through.

“How can I fold this?” he asked, eventually reasoning that his hand was too strong to fold unless somehow Kotas had turned up with a six. Daher made the call and Kotas showed him the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Chino Shows the Bluff Shove

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

The board read {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Chino Rheem moved all in. David Taborsky had a decision to make and he studied Rheem as he sat there stony faced. Taborsky folded and Cheem triumphantly showed his {q-Spades}{9-Spades} bluff and addressed first Taborsky, referring to an earlier hand, and then the table.

“If you don’t show nine five, I don’t show queen nine. You boys get a good read? Remember that face next time.”

Taborsky said he had folded {a-}{8-} and they both agreed the river was perfect for Cheem to pull off his move. Any picture card and Taborsky would have got a few more chips out of Rheem as well as the pot.

Kitai Doubles Through Selbst

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

With the flop showing {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} Davidi Kitai checked his option from the small blind. Vanessa Selbst was in the hand and made it 2,400 from under the gun plus one. Kitai called.

The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn and again Kitai check called a bet of 5,300 before the dealer produced the {8-Hearts} on the river.

Kitai checked and Selbst thought for a minute before betting out 13,500. Kitai paused for a moment before moving all in for his remaining 22,750 in chips.

Selbst seemed noticeably upset with the small shove and still tanked over her decision for over a minute. She finally made the call and watched as Kitai casually turned over his {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the nut flush. Selbst knew she was beat when she made the additional call and tabled her {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} for the second best flush and watched as the pot was pushed towards Kitai.

The Rich and Famous

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Balazs Botond took down the record-breaking Eureka Prague Main Event for €206,948 a few days ago and it seems that the Hungarian has carried over his run-good into the EPT Main Event as well.

Blanco Busts Mikovic

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

After a flop of {3-Spades} {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts}, Marko Mikovic bet and then faced the raise of Cristiano Blanco to put him all in. The Serbian gave it some thought and then called off for his last 25,000 with {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}. He was ahead preflop, but Blanco had spiked a set with {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades} and would hold up with the {J-Spades} turn and the {Q-Hearts} river completing the board.

Also out: Tom Hall and Rumen Nanev.

Boeree Four-Bet Folds

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree opened for 1,100 and faced a three-bet to 3,800 from the player in the big blind.

Boeree cut out some raising chips and four-bet to 8,000. Her opponent wanted to know how much she had behind and she spread out the remainder of her 16,900 stack. He moved all in and Boeree instantly pushed her cards to the dealer.

"We both had ace king, I lost"

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Apparently Sam Cohen and Konstantin Puchkov were all in preflop and the Russian was the player at risk with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. Cohen had {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} but the black cards on the board were spades and not clubs.
