Kravchenko vs. Brandborn

I can see into your soul...
I can see into your soul...
With the board reading {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} on the turn, Alex Kravchenko checked, and chip leader Ola Brandborn fired out 4,500 like it was nothing at all. Kravchenko tanked for a minute, then called. The river was the {Q-Spades}. Kravchenko checked again and it was Brandborn's turn to tank. He gave Kravchenko the ol' stare-down as he thought for several minutes before finally checking behind.

Kravchenko flipped up {K-Spades}{10-Spades} for the flush and Brandborn mucked. The Russian's stack was up to 23,000 after the hand while Brandborn had a still-massive 80,000.

Noah Boeken Doubles Through Daniel Negreanu

Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken checked in the dark before the {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop came down. Daniel Negreanu moved a tower of blue 1,000 chips into the middle, setting Boeken all in for his remaining 2,875. After tanking for a few minutes, he made the call.

"I have nines," said Negreanu, flipping up {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Boeken turned up {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

"That's what I thought you had, two overs!" exclaimed Kid Poker.

The turn was the {A-Hearts}, saving Boeken and leaving Negreanu drawing to the two remaining nines. The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Boeken got a much-needed double-up to 10,000. Negreanu is still healthy, though, with 17,500.
