Almost a Massive Pot

With 13,000 in the middle and the flop reading {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}, Joseph Serock in the small blind bet out 8,000 chips; Trond Erik Eidsvig in the big blind calls.

They checked down the {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} turn and river and Serock took the pot with {Q-Spades}{7-Spades}. Trond slammed down {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and laughed knowing that possibly a 250,000 chip pot was going his way had a spade hit the turn or river!

Nielsen Shows the Bluff

Nicolas Derveaux opened the pot for 5,800 from middle position and Rasmus Hede Nielsen called from the cutoff. The flop was {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Derveaux led out for 5,000 and Nielsen quickly called. The turn was the {10-Clubs}. Derveaux checked, Nielsen bet 13,500 and Derveaux folded.

Nielsen tabled {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a stone bluff.

"That's a Scandi play!" exclaimed Ed de Haas as Nielsen dragged the pot.

Fingers in the Jar?

Timothy Vance, an American online qualifier, had 13,000 chips in the middle pre-flop and Ulrik Pedersen moved all in for 25,400 total. The press watching was astounded when Vance managed to find a fold considering he had over 50,000 chips behind. Including antes he was getting over 3:1 pot odds.
