Selbst Doubles Through Then Eliminates Lim

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Vanessa Selbst checked to Aaron Lim on a board of {k-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Lim fired out 82,000 into a pot of around 110,000, and Selbst moved all in for around 200,000. Lim called, then mucked when Selbst showed {9-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flush.

A few hands later, Lim was all in and at risk preflop holding {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} against Selbst's {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The Team PokerStars Pro held as the board came {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, and Lim was suddenly eliminated.

Selbst now sits with around 725,000 chips.

Big Clash Leaves O'Brien Broke and Sbrissa Thriving

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Dan O'Brien raised to 16,000 from under the gun before Victor Sbrissa reraised to 40,000 on the button. Action folded back to O'Brien, and he made it 102,000 to go. Sbrissa reraised all in, and O'Brien called.

O'Brien showed the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and was all in for 384,000. Sbrissa held the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} and the larger of the two stacks.

The flop, turn and river came {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and, despite turning a flush draw to help him out, O'Brien was eliminated in 21st place.

Four-Bet from Silverman

Marvin Rettenmaier raised all in for a little over 50,000 from early position, and Sorel Mizzi called from the big blind. Rettenmaier held the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and was flipping for his tournament life against the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for Mizzi.

The board provided no help for Rettenmaier as the dealer ran out the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and he was eliminated.
