Negreanu Takes from Reinkemeier

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Team PokerStars Pro and recent World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific Main Event winner Daniel Negreanu raised to 4,400 from early position. Tobias Reinkemeier called from the button, and the two players saw the flop come down {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Negreanu bet 6,500, and Reinkemeier called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and Negreanu check-called a bet of 11,200 to see the {9-Diamonds} fall on the river. Both players checked.

Negreanu showed the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a pair of kings, and Reinkemeier mucked his hand.

New Table and More Chips for Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu's table was just broken up and he was moved to Tobias Reinkemeier's table. On the very first hand Anaras Alekberovas raised to 3,500 and Negreanu three-bet to 12,000. Negreanu was seated to Alekberovas' left and the action was folded all the way around to the Lithuanian. Alekberovas four-bet to 26,000 and that put the pressure back on Negreanu.

"He's a four-bettor," Negreanu laughed as he was constantly joking around with the players at his table. The Canadian pro put in a five-bet to 54,000 and Alekberovas folded.

"Aces, of course I had aces," Negreanu said as he pushed his cards towards Reinkemeier who could pick one.

Reinkemeier pointed towards the left card and Negreanu turned over the {A-Spades}. Just to keep everyone honest he also showed the {A-Clubs} and emphasized that he would only five-bet with aces. Negreanu is doing good on Day 2 and he seems to be completely in his element.

Fox Runs Jacks Into Queens

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

From under the gun, Elio Fox raised to 4,700. Action folded to the player in the cutoff seat, and he reraised to 10,500. With action moving back over to Fox, he took some time, then reraised to 23,000. His opponent moved all in, and Fox called.

Fox rolled over the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, but was behind his opponent's {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The flop, turn and river ran out {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{A-Hearts}, and Fox lost the hand.

Hear Me Rohr

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Conte Francesco Paolo checked on a board of {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Jean-Philippe Rohr fired out 6,700, Paolo check-raised to 16,000, and Rohr moved all in for around 50,000 or so. Paolo snap-called.

Rohr: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Paolo: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

Rohr was drawing dead, and had already collected his things and walked away from the table before the {j-Diamonds} completed the board.

Anderson Shows the Bluff

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Luke Schwartz, Calvin Anderson, and Aurelien Guiglini were three handed on a board of {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Schwartz checked, Anderson bet 17,200 into a pot of around 25,000, and Guiglini went into the tank.

Guiglini didn't speak or move for nearly four minutes before Anderson called the clock. A tournament director arrived at the table, gave Guiglini a minute to act, and at the end of the time limit, he folded.

Schwartz instantly mucked, and Anderson grinned as he tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for eight-high.
