Big Fold From Levy

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We picked up the action on a {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop when Grant Levy check-called 97,000 from the small blind. John Juanda was seated in the big blind and bet again when Levy checked on the {K-Diamonds} turn. This time the five-time WSOP bracelet winner bet 192,000 and Levy called again.

On the river the {10-Diamonds} hit and Levy checked again.

"I'm all in," Juanda said and Levy went into the tank for almost five minutes before deciding to fold. The Australian pro threw his {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} open in the muck and Juanda didn't show any emotion as he's now up to 1.65 million.

Andrew Lichtenberger Eliminated in 14th Place (€47,000)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger (Day 4) - 14th Place
Andrew Lichtenberger (Day 4) - 14th Place

Andrew Lichtenberger opened for a raise in the hijack seat, Daniel Negreanu called in the cutoff, and Freddy Deeb defended out of the blinds. The flop fell {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}, Deeb led out for 85,000, and both Lichtenberger and Negreanu called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, Deeb checked, and Lichtenberger checked as well. Negreanu tossed out 205,000, Deeb folded, and Lichtenberger went into the tank.

While Lichtenberger was tanking, Negreanu started humming and pointing out how strong he was. Lichtenberger then moved all in for 530,000.

"I'll need a minute," Negreanu announced, signaling that he would be entering the tank.

The Canadian then cycled through the hands that Lichtenberger could have.

"If you have a set, that's good for me," he said. "Nice hand bro, I call."

Negreanu slammed forward a stack of chips, and turned over {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a straight. Lichtenberger showed {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}.

The American needed a club to survive, but he the {2-Hearts} bricked on the river, eliminating him in 14th place.

Goran Mandic Eliminated in 15th Place (€37,000)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Goran Mandic
Goran Mandic

In an unbelievable turn of events Goran Mandic has just been knocked out! The action started when the young Croatian raised to 42,000 under the gun plus one and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 115,000 from the cutoff. The action was folded back to Mandic who four-bet to 219,000 and O'Dwyer went into the tank. After about 20 seconds he moved all in and Mandic snap-called.

Mandic: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
O'Dwyer: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Mandic was all in for right around 900,000 chips and this hand was crucial for both players as O'Dwyer had him only covered by a little bit. The dealer put out {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs} on the flop and O'Dwyer was looking for running straight cards or a three.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and many players gasped as O'Dwyer picked up the straight draw. When the river brought the {6-Clubs} the American made his straight. Everyone at the table and standing around the table was shocked by this river card and Mandic shook his head as he left the tournament in 15th place. O'Dwyer remained quiet and raked in the chips.

"How would you stack these?" O'Dwyer asked a little later to Jason Mercier who started laughing but helped his opponent out.

"Now that's a horrible problem to have," Grant Levy chipped in as O'Dwyer is now second in chips behind Andrew Pantling.

Mandic released and O'Dwyer picked up the pot.

Mateusz Moolhuizen (Day 4) - 16th Place

Vasili Firsau opened to 40,000 from the hijack seat, Grant Levy three-bet to 89,000 from the cutoff, and Mateusz Moolhuizen moved all in for 375,000 from the big blind. Firsau quickly folded, and Levy tank-called.

Levy: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Moolhuizen: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop gave Levy a leading pair of aces, and the Australian held as the turn and river came {4-Spades}, {10-Hearts} respectively.

Double For Cody

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We did not get all the action but Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody just doubled up. The board read {K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} when the money went in and Cody showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} versus Victor Ramdin's {K-Spades}{4-Spades}. The river brought the {3-Clubs} and Cody doubled up.

Mercier Picks on Moolhuizen

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mateusz Moolhuizen raised to 35,000 from middle position and Team PokerStars Pro Jaon Mercier three-bet to 82,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Moolhuizen tanked for a while before making it 170,000. Mercier did some tanking of his own before moving all in.

Moolhuizen was not happy and he sighed as he folded his cards. On the very next hand Moolhuizen raised to 35,000 and folded when Mercier made it 73,000 from the cutoff. Mercier has been chipping up nicely already while Moolhuizen is now in real trouble with his small stack.

More For O'Dwyer

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden raised to 32,000 and Steve O'Dwyer called from the button. The flop brought out {K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Lodden bet 64,000, O'Dwyer called.

On the turn the {J-Spades} hit and Lodden bet 100,000 and O'Dwyer called once more. The river brought the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked. Lodden showed {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and that was not good enough against O'Dwyer's {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

First One To O'Dwyer

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On the first hand on the outer table it was John Juanda who raised to 40,000 from the hijack and Steve O'Dwyer called from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Juanda bet 40,000 after O'Dwyer had checked. O'Dwyer made the call and the turn brought the {7-Spades}.

Both players checked the turn and on the river the {7-Hearts} hit. O'Dwyer lead out for 100,000 and Juanda folded his cards.
