Gonzalez was in bad shape, but he got good news and bad news on the flop. The bad was Ruiz made a set, but Gonzalez gained a flush draw on the monotone flop of Q♦J♦3♦.

Gonzalez held his hands on the top of his head as if he were waiting for a teammate to take a winning penalty kick in a soccer match.

The 2♠ was a brick on the turn, but the 4♦ on the river made Gonzalez jump for joy, while a despondent Ruiz headed to the exit in good grace for 7th place money.
