Traboulsi Done

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Among the early-departed on Day 1a is also one of the King's regular Thomas Traboulsi. The German usually plays under a nickname, but for this event that won't be any good with all real names being revealed. His chips went to table neighbor Petr Hucik, who now enjoys double the starting stack.

Also out: Nick Korts. He tried to bluff with the {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a busted gutshot and was looked up by an opponent with {A-Spades}{J-Spades} for top pair and top kicker.

Boswell Bossing Early, Busts Gulas

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

The cards were already gone and the seat of Josef Gulas vacated. According to Dominik Paus, the Czech five-bet jammed for 16,000 with pocket jacks and Boswell snap-called with pocket aces. The flop brought an ace and a full house on the turn left Gulas drawing dead.

Back in February 2015, the Czech finished 6th for € 25,630 in this very event but will now have to reenter on Day 1c if he wants to better the result.

Rose and Tomovic in Trouble

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Aleksandar Tomovic's value-bet for 2,000 on a king high river was paid off and the Serbian showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair to rake in the pot, but the general trend has gone the other way and Tomovic is on half the starting stack.

Daniel Rose's day follows the same path. The German just called a bet worth 700 on the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop with one further player also tossing in the chips out of the big blind and then checking in the dark. The initial raiser continued for 1,600 on the {5-Spades} turn and Rose folded, as did the player in the big blind.

Straight for Paulus

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

On the {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} turn, Ingo Paulus bet 2,150 out of the big blind and his opponent on the button called eventually. The {10-Hearts} hit on the river and another player reminded the dealer that the opponent should have been given 500 more in change, Paulus also confirmed that he had bat 2,150.

The German then made it 4,700 to go and again his opponent tanked for some time before making the call and getting shown {6-Spades}{7-Spades} for a straight, which he could not beat.

Holke's Deuce No Good

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Tom Holke's aggression and creativity at the tables barely knows any limits and the German just tried to semi-bluff table neighbor Petr Satek out of a pot. With more than 6,000 chips in the middle, Satek checked in the small blind and Holke bet 2,700. Satek eventually called and the German announced a deuce before flashing the {7-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Satek's {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights scooped the pot.

162 Entries for Now

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

While the vast majority of the field consists of rather unknown players, Tobias Peters is definitely no stranger to the international poker scene. And as random as it may be, the Dutchman is sharing a table with Rasmus Agerskov and both met several times before on the poker circuit.

Alexander Staengle is among the plethora of Germans that made the trip over, which comes to no surprise as Rozvadov is only a few kilometers away from the border to Germany.

Avramidis Rising

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

A four-way checked pot to the {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} saw Makarios Avramidis turn over {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for king high and all his opponents mucked. One hand later, the Greek got into a far bigger pot by check-calling a bet worth 1,500 on the {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. Avramidis then checked the {2-Spades} turn and his opponent did so as well before the {10-Clubs} river brought no betting action either.

Avramidis motioned for his opponent to show, which revealed the {A-Hearts}{8-Spades} for ace-high and the Greek then turned over his winning {6-Spades}{3-Spades} for a pair of sixes.

Wimmer Active

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On the {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} turn, Raphael Wimmer led for 1,500 out of the small blind and the pot was about the same size. His sole opponent in the cutoff asked the dealer again for the betting amount and then took another 30 seconds before sliding his cards into the muck.

One orbit later, Wimmer was in the same spot and this time the board was reading {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Now the Austrian made it 1,550 to go and the player on the button gave it some thought before also folding.
