Last Break and Chip Race

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

The players are heading out of the tournament area and straight to the buffet while the dealers prepare the chip race of the T-25 denominations. The last 15-minute break of the day will be followed by another two levels before Day 1b wraps up.

Dellis Busts Mikovic

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

After a raise to 1,800 and the flat call by Julian Margner and Quentin Dellis, the action reached Marko Mikovic on the button and he reraised to 5,800. Margner and Dellis were the only two callers and Mikovic got his stack in with pocket kings on a flop of {8-}{6-}{5-}. Unfortunately, that was his last hand, as Dellis had flatted with {8-}{6-} and stayed ahead.

The Belgian is up to 70,000 while Hannes Speiser has moved tables and now sits next to Michael Panovec.

The Silent Killer

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Iso Cicek just three-bet all in for 11,125 out of the blinds with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and the initial raiser, who had him barely covered, turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Cicek failed to get there on a board of {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Next to Cicek is sitting Amir Mozaffarian and the German was focused on his smart phone while the stack in front must have kept growing magically.

Zurek on the Rise

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Short stack Nino Wagner pushed for 10,600 with the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Thomas Zurek was last to act out of the big blind with everyone else out of the way. The German called with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and pretty much locked up the hand with a flop of {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. No miracle happened and Wagner was on his way out.

He is joined there by Marc Radgen and Hanno Offen.

Palovic Gets Bigger and Bigger

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

With around 16,000 chips in the pot and a flop of {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Dag Palovic was spotted betting 11,000 out of the big blind and his opponent from early position called. The {6-Hearts} came on the turn and Palovic then bet 12,000 before immediately looking back down on his iPad.

The opponent checked his stack of around 50,000 and then folded, Palovic flashed the {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a bluff.

Mikovic Stays In

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Danilo Velasevic, Jean-Marc Jelk and Markus Hofer have been running well as of lately while Marko Mikovic just three-bet all in out of the big blind for his last 9,750. The initial raiser Julian Margner called with {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and had to fade over cards against the Serbian's {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

After a board of {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{K-Clubs}, Mikovic found the help he needed.

Mulsow and Radgen in Trouble

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Martin Mulsow and Marc Radgen may very well soon be among the bustouts, as they have short stacks respectively. Bulent Caliskan, Tezer Cetindag and Georgios Vrakas have all been eliminated recently.
