Pavelka and Hansen Bust; Hand for Hand

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Josef Pavelka
Josef Pavelka

The field has been reduced to 104 players and hand-for-hand mode has been activated.

Petr Subik raised to 10,000 from under the gun and Eureka 5 Rozvadov runner up Josef Pavelka moved all in from one seat over for 68,000. The action folded around to Petr Machacek and he reshoved for 170,000 out of the big blind to enforce a fold from Subik.

Pavelka: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Machacek: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Pavelka busted in bad beat fashion.

Almost at the same time, Jens Hansen shoved for 58,000 from the button and Thomas Hueber called in the big blind.

Hansen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Hueber: {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Again it was a bad beat that caused the seat open with a board of {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Pedersen Wins Flip

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

"Now I am soon the short stack," Serif Gozegir sighed. Thomas Pedersen had moved all in from the hijack for 63,000 and Gozegir reshoved from the button.

Pedersen: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Gozegir: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the Dane doubled, adding "I am not here to min cash."

Lavrov Doubles

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Serif Gozegir put table neighbor Maksym Lavrov all in and at risk for 50,500 in a battle of the blinds. The latter turned over {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Gozegir had two live cards with {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Gozegir shrugged after he failed to bust his new table neighbor to make it three in a row.

Lampropoulos and Paus Shove; 107 Left

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Maria Lampropoulos moved all in and everyone folded, the Argentinian showed the {A-Spades}. "Ah, ace banana," Martin Kabrhel joked.

Dominik Paus shoved for 25,500 from under the gun and scooped the blinds and antes.

€330 Rozvadov Cup second-place finisher Paulius Venckauskas busted shortly after and Thomas Lamatsch then instructed the dealers to announce when there is an all in and a call with 106 players remaining.

Kristeller Folds the Turn

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With around 55,000 chips in the pot and the turn reading {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}, David Urban checked and Martin Kristeller bet 27,000. Urban now check-raised to 64,000 and Kristeller gave up after some consideration. The Slovakian is among the biggest stacks in the room.

Upcoming Dinner Break

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Tournament director Thomas Lamatsch has just informed the players that the upcoming 60-minute dinner break will be taken as planned no matter if the money has been reached yet or not. Radek Jantos is not to worry about that anymore, as he unfortunately ran out of chips.

Gann Doubles Twice

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Andreas Gann previously doubled and just did so again. He raised to 12,500 and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 20,500 from one seat over. On the {J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, Gann shoved for 80,500 and Kabrhel called to turn over his {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Gann took his time before revealing {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and doubled as {9-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river completed the board.

Not in anymore: Ioan Mihai Taizs.

Lakatos Busts Sevo, Kabrhel Thriving

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Martin Kabrhel continues to increase his stack and nears the half million while Vlado Sevo has been shown the way out of the tournament.

Amir Mozaffarian had raised, Sevo shoved and Roman Lakatos moved all in as well from two seats over to enforce a fold from Mozaffarian. Sevo showed {A-}{K-} while Lakatos had the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and that was it for Sevo.

Schmitz Plays With Fire

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Thomas Hueber raised to 9,000 in the last hand of the previous level and Tonino Schmitz defended his big blind. On the {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop both players checked. On the {7-Clubs} turn, Schmitz tank-called a bet of 12,500 and then shoved the {K-Spades} river for 56,500. "I must be good, because he tanks," Schmitz said to a friend from one seat over.

Hueber then asked whether he should call or fold and Schmitz joked "Sure, call. I just play the High Roller then. If you call, I will pay you a beer. Service!" The small talk eventually worked and Hueber folded six minutes into the new level.
