Vanetten Looks Up Lamphere Correctly
Level 4
: Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Joel Vanetten in first position and Adam Lamphere in the big blind.
The board read 9♣9♦5♥K♣ and Lamphere checked over to Vanetten who bet 2,000, promting Lamphere to raise to 7,000.
Vanetten called and the river peeled off an A♠ to see Lamphere size up to 21,000, sending Vanetten into the tank. After some thought and some muttering to himself, he put in the chips.
Lamphere tabled 5♠3♣ for nines and fives, but it was no good against Vanetten's K♦Q♣ for kings and nines.
