FPN's Oldest Member, Bob Schreiner, Sends Love From Afar
92-year-old Bob Schreiner couldn't make it to this year's FPN Vegas National Championship, but the presence of the tour's oldest member can be felt in the room, and seen on the felt.
Schreiner, a Marine veteran who PokerNews wrote about last year, is known on the FPN circuit for gifting his custom-painted "Wow Girl" rocks to women dealers and players, believing that every woman deserves that kind of small yet meaningful recognition.
What's a Wow Girl rock? You'll recognize it as a small stone, typically painted white with a red heart and a handwritten message such as "Someone Loves You." And Wow Girl rocks, which make excellent card protectors, could be seen keeping cards safe here at the FPN Vegas National Championship.
Knowing he couldn't make it to Las Vegas, Schreiner prepped dozens of Wow Girl rocks and tasked FPN's Dana Castaneda with distributing them at this year's festival.
A hand-painted stone with a message, from a thoughtful veteran who loves poker. Now that's a better card protector than your mini Thor's hammer, wouldn't you say?
