River Double for Chew

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Stevan "Steve Austin" Chew defended the big blind from a min-raise by Artur Martirosian in the cutoff. Chew checked the {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop and Martirosian bet 100,000. Chew shoved for 874K and got quickly called by {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Chew was in trouble with {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. He missed the {8-Diamonds} turn but found the {2-Hearts} river to hit a boat.

Watson Cooked by Martirosian

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Mike Watson opened for 160,000 under the gun and Artur Martirosian defended the big blind. Martirosian check-called 240,000 on the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and checked the {k-Hearts}. Watson bet 460,000 and Martirosian tank-shoved for 765K more.

Watson called with {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} but was pipped by {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The {3-Diamonds} river didn't save him.

Malinov Doubles

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Arsenii Malinov opened for 168,000 in middle position and Antonio "nanqtf" Pedro shoved in the small blind. Malinov snap-called for about 2 million with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and was fading {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Malinov found a friendly ace-free board to double.

Novak Busts Maslak

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Konstantin Maslak shoved second to act for 862K and was called by small blind Andrii Novak.

Novak: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Maslak: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} didn't bring much for Maslak but he picked up chopping straight outs and winning flush outs on the {4-Diamonds} turn. The river was a useless {3-Clubs} though.

Gottlieb Crippled, Aido Busted Before Break

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,500 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Sergio Aido shoved in the cutoff over a hijack open from Joakim Andersson for about 900K. Andersson looked him up with sixes and Aido had pocket threes. He busted when he didn't improve.

On another table, Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb raised to 140K on the button and Nicolo Molinelli shoved for just shy of 2 million in the small blind. Gottlieb called with {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and was against {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The board was good for Gottlieb until a queen river paired Molinelli.

Barely covered, Gottlieb is left with less than two big blinds as they head to break.

Peters and Leikkonen Cooked

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,500 ante

Filatov's River Sweat is Short

Level 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,500 ante

Anatoly Filatov shoved for about 1 million from middle position after Roman "RRomashka" Emelyanov opened under the gun. Emelyanov called with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and was up against {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Filatov an extra out. The {5-Spades} turn didn't do anything, and a diamond peeled on the river, which meant curtains for Filatov.

Blinds: 35,000/70,000
