Triple Up for Lopes with Cowboys

Level 15 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Mohammed Razkouallah limped from the cutoff before Miguel Faria Lopes jammed for 105,000 from the button. Mahnaz Eskandari called from the big blind and Razkouallah came along for the ride.

The {2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} board was checked down the entire way.

"I think I win," said Lopes as he turned over {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Eskandari turned over {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} before Razkouallah responded while turning over {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}: "You definitely do win."

Meanwhile, Jonathan Miller was eliminated on another table to leave 19 players left in the Day 1a field.

Golobev Eliminated

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

David Verdal opened from under the gun for 17,000. Mohammed Razkouallah called from two seats over before Andrey Golubev called off his short stack of around 15,000. Roman Nuraev completed the action from the big blind and the {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} came on the flop.

Nuraev checked before Verdal fired out a bet of 25,000. Razkouallah and Nuraev got out of the way. Verdal turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for top pair and a flush draw and Golubev was drawing thin with {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

Neither the {q-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {3-Diamonds} on the river were able to save Golubev and he was ousted before the money. Also recently eliminated were Ercan Olgun and Alejandro Gomez.
