Cinitas Gets Lucky Against Golubev

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Bariskaan Cinitas checked with about 80,000 in the pot and the {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} on the board. Andrey Golubev jammed more than covering the around 110,000 Cinitas had left in his stack and got a call.

Andrey Golubev: {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Bariskaan Cinitas: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}

Golubev was well ahead with a flush but there was still one card to come. The {7-Spades} completed the board on the river to get Cinitas a full house and a double up.

Vekshin Rivers a Straight

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Timofei Vekshin check-raised from 35,000 to 80,000 with about 50,000 in the pot with the {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on the board and Chadi Haddad called.

Vekshin then fired out for 130,000 with about the same amount behind after the {k-Spades} completed the board on the river. Haddad went into the tank for three minutes before he made the call.

Vekshin turned over {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a straight and the dealer shipped him the pot after Haddad mucked his hand.

Meanwhile, around the same time, Michail Tastanis was eliminated from the Day 1a field.

Hong Doubles Off Gomez

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jinho Hong jammed for about 90,000 into a pot of around 70,000 after the {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} came on the flop and was called by Alejandro Gomez.

Hong turned over {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and sighed when he saw his opponent had {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The {8-Hearts} came on the turn to complete a straight for Hong and he just had to sweat no diamonds coming on the river. Hong doubled up after the {10-Hearts} completed the board.

Espen Sandvik headed to the tournament desk to enter for the third time. Before he reentered he shared with PokerNews he is getting back in now since he can't play the Main Event tomorrow due to the High Roller also taking place on Wednesday.

Sandvik shared that he doubled up his second bullet early on before he lost a hand with snowmen.

The hand began with Sandvik opening to 11,000 from the hijack and getting calls from Mohammed Razkouallah from the cutoff and Alexandre Klepikov from the big blind.

Klepikov and Sandvik checked the {7-}{9-}{10-} flop before Razkouallah bet 30,000. Klepikov called before Sandvik jammed for about 180,000. Razkouallah folded and Klepikov called.

Sandvik turned over {8-}{8-} and was drawing to a chop with his opponent flopping the nuts with {j-}{8-}. Blanks hit the turn and river and Klepikov took down the pot.
