The first flight of the GUKPT Luton Main Event is in the books with 20 players advancing from a field of 99.
The chip leader is Tamer Kamel who bagged 215,500 ahead of Ben Maregedze with 181,000. James Clarke sits third in chips with 175,100.
Kamel won a big pot against Terry Jordon in the final level when he hit a flush against Jordon's trip kings, and propelled himself up the chip counts having been below 50,000 for most of the day.

John Bousfield raised to 2,100 from middle position, and Renee Xie shoved for 20,900 from the hijack. Christopher Louch went into the tank from the cutoff but ultimately folded before Bousfield called after the action folded back to him.

Phillips continued for 3,200 and both opponents called. The appeared on the turn, and Parker bet 6,000 after the action had checked to him. Johnson called, and Phillips folded.
