Timothy Chung won the GUKPT Luton High Roller yesterday for a £34,350 score after coming through a 59 player field and a heads-up battle against James Rann.

Rann walked away with £22,350 for his efforts, and Jacob Mulhern took third place for £15,100.

Matt Davenport, Tom Hall, Ryan Mandara and Terry Jordon were among the other players to reach the final table.

Earlier this year in London, Chung defeated a record GUKPT 702-player field to take home £185,560.

Two More Flights in the GUKPT Luton Main Event

Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage of the GUKPT Luton Main Event. Today sees two starting flights get underway, with Day 1b starting at midday and the Turbo Day 1c starting at 9 p.m.

Both see players start with 20,000 in chips, with Day 1b having 60-minute levels and Day 1c having 20-minute levels.

In Day 1b, there will be 20-minute breaks after every two levels, with an extended 40-minute break after Level 4.

Yesterday 99 players entered Day 1a, with Tamer Kamel bagging the overnight chip lead with 215,500 ahead of Ben Maregedze with 181,000. James Clarke sits third in chips with 175,100.
