Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage of the GUKPT Luton Main Event. Today sees two starting flights get underway, with Day 1b starting at midday and the Turbo Day 1c starting at 9 p.m.
Both see players start with 20,000 in chips, with Day 1b having 60-minute levels and Day 1c having 20-minute levels.
In Day 1b, there will be 20-minute breaks after every two levels, with an extended 40-minute break after Level 4.
Yesterday 99 players entered Day 1a, with Tamer Kamel bagging the overnight chip lead with 215,500 ahead of Ben Maregedze with 181,000. James Clarke sits third in chips with 175,100.

Day 1b is underway with 37 players in their seats.
Among the players taking their seat from the start is Team Grosvenor's Andrew Hills.
Hills is a former GUKPT Main Event champion having won the Manchester leg in 2017 for £46,988.
Timothy Chung won the GUKPT Luton High Roller yesterday for a £34,350 score after coming through a 59 player field and a heads-up battle against James Rann.
Rann walked away with £22,350 for his efforts, and Jacob Mulhern took third place for £15,100.
Matt Davenport, Tom Hall, Ryan Mandara and Terry Jordon were among the other players to reach the final table.
Earlier this year in London, Chung defeated a record GUKPT 702-player field to take home £185,560.
The board was down and Chris Johnson checked from the big blind before Tony Ringe bet 700 from the button. Johnson called and checked again on the river. Ringe fired a 1,500 bet, and Johnson called. Ringe tabled for trips and took down an early victory.

Cameron Williamson raised to 300 from the cutoff and Gary Miller called in the small blind. The flop fell and Miller check-called a 200 bet from Williamson. Both players checked on the turn, and Miller fired for 500 on the river. Williamson called and Miller won the pot after showing for two pair.
Miller is looking for another deep run after coming second in the GUKPT Grand Final London in 2021 for £63,540.

Andrew Hills fired a 900 bet from the button with the flop down and Neophytos Neophytou called from the hijack. The fell on the turn and Neophytou check-called a 2,800 bet from Hills. Neophytou checked again on the river before Hills paused for 30 seconds and then bet 10,000, which Neophytou snap called.
Hills tabled and runner-runner trips, but Neophytou took down the pot with for a full house.
