Welcome back to PokerNews for continued coverage of the GUKPT Coventry Main Event.
A field of just over 100 players are returning for Day 2, with late registration still open until five minutes before cards get in the air. Once they do at 12 p.m. local time, players will have ten 60-minute levels to ensure they're in with a chance of the big prizes on Day 3 tomorrow.
Payouts are yet to be confirmed, but we will bring you all the details as soon as they have been released.
Two anonymous chip leaders head the field after the opening flights, but all eyes will be on Grosvenor Poker Team Pro Richard Trigg who heads into Day 2 fourth in chips behind Rodrigo Hernandez.
Other notables to keep an eye out for include defending GUKPT Coventry Champion Steve Jelinek, GUKPT London champion Timothy Chung, WSOP bracelet winners Richard Ashby and Carl Shaw as well as Bhavin Khatri, Joe Hindry, and Renee Xie.
