Hock Doubles

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Hockey Hock got his last 10,000 or so in with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} preflop and survived against an opponent who had {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} as the board ran out {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

At another table, Chris Moneymaker said he ran his jacks into a player's aces and is now hovering below the average stack.

Dolan Doubles Through Moneymaker

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ethan Dolan doubled up as his {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} held up all in preflop in a battle of the blinds with small blind Chris Moneymaker, who had {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The board rolled out {6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, missing both players, and Moneymaker sent 24,400 to his left. After the hand, he said he underestimated Dolan's total stack.

Truong Takes Next Round

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Kevin Truong
Kevin Truong

Kevin Truong and Chris Moneymaker are at war, playing big pots against each other seemingly every other hand. In the most recent battle, Truong raised to 3,800 on the button and called a three-bet to 10,600 from the former Main Event champ. Both checked the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Truong called 10,100 on the {5-Clubs} turn. Moneymaker fired 15,000 on the {9-Diamonds} river, and Truong thought awhile and flicked in a call.

"You have an ace, you're good," Moneymaker said.

Truong showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, and Moneymaker flashed what looked like {k-}{q-} before mucking.

Moneymaker Gets Some Back

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Chris Moneymaker recently lost a massive pot, but he just got some back from Kevin Truong. On a {2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop, he check-called 2,600 from the blinds against his cutoff opponent. Both players checked the {j-Diamonds}, and Moneymaker checked the {7-Spades}. Truong bet 4,000.

"Give me a little value bet this time?" Moneymaker asked. "I'll see it."

"You got it," Truong said. "Missed my clubs."

Moneymaker won with {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.
