Two players each put in about 1,500 preflop, and Jason Thomas checked from the hijack to an opponent in the cutoff. Thomas called a bet of 1,000 on a {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, and he check-called 1,950 more on the {7-Diamonds} turn. When the {k-Diamonds} hit, he took some time before sliding in 8,000, enough to put his opponent all in. The player shrugged and called it off for about 6,000, and Thomas turned over {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a runner flush.

"Pai Gow Tommy" Gets There for Free

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Everyone checked a {4-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop in a multi-way pot, and a {2-Hearts} hit the turn. The small blind bet 1,500 into the field and got two calls, one from "Pai Gow Tommy" Daubert under the gun and another from a player in middle position. The {9-Diamonds} completed the board, and the turn aggressor checked. Daubert bet 1,800 and the middle player snap-called. The small blind folded after some thought, and Daubert showed {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

"Unbelievable," the middle player said, mucking {j-}{j-} face-up.

"Everyone checked the flop," Daubert said simply. "Anyone bets, I'm gone."

Gaudio Runs a Flush

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Three players checked a {4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, and the cutoff bet 700. Only Greg Gaudio, the player under the gun, called. He check-called another 1,100 on the {6-Spades} turn, and he checked the {j-Spades} river and saw his opponent ramp up his sizing to 3,300. Gaudio didn't mind though, as he came back with a raise to 7,000. His opponent thought for about a minute before splashing in a call.

Gaudio showed {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for the nut flush, and his opponent quickly mucked.

Everyone checked the flop, and fourth street made the board {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades}. The small blind checked, and Moneymaker bet 525. The under-the-gun player called, and everyone else folded. The {8-Clubs} put a a four-straight on board, and Moneymaker flipped 1,200 in. His opponent quickly called, and Moneymaker showed {a-Spades}{7-Spades} for a straight. The other player had {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for top two.
