High Five For Kim

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
David Kim
David Kim

David Kim just eliminated Benjamin Smith when Kim made a straight flush on the river to bust Smith.

The action started when Kim made is 1,200 preflop under the gun. He got two callers, Smith and Bryan Moon.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Kim bet out for 2,100 again. Smith called and Moon folded.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Kim led again, this time making it 4,000 for Smith to continue. Smith called

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Kim bet for a third time. He made it 10,000 and put the pressure on Smith. Smith thought for about 20 seconds and then shipped 30,000 over Kim's bet.

Kim snap called and immediately turned over {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a straight flush. Smith was on the short end, with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Kim had him covered, so it was the rail for Smith.

"I've never gotten a straight flush before," said Kim.

He told the floorperson and they gave him a high-five, while grabbing the seat card to fill Smith's vacated seat.

Fehlig Good

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Will Difani and Paul Fehlig just played a hand, and Fehlig got some value on two streets.

The two players were looking at a board of {7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Difani checked. Fehling was on the button and bet 3,000. Difani called.

The river was the {5-Spades} and Difani checked again. Fehlig bet 8,000 and Difani called.

"Set," said Fehlig as he turned over pocket sevens for a flopped set. Difani mucked.
