Aron Cools Off Muehloecker

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Aron and Thomas Muehloecker got it all in with about 60,000 of Anthony Vaughn's chips stuck in the middle.

It was the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for Aaron in a classic cooler over Muehloecker's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, holding on a {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} board to give him the double up.

Piccioli: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Bullard: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Bullard kept his tournament hopes alive.

Dan O'Brien Eliminated in 16th Place ($12,998)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Dan O'Brien
Dan O'Brien

Dan O'Brien had nursed a below average stack for the better part of 23 hours of play here in the Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 Championship with a smile on his face and a dream in his heart. Unfortunately, he couldn't get through a 24th.

He finally got it in dominated, with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} versus Aaron Mermelstein's {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and found no way out on an {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} board.

A solid run for O'Brien ends in 16th, as Mermelstein continues to own.

Ziegler Doubles, Neuville Short

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Tobias Ziegler shoved the button and Pierre Neuville reshoved from the small blind, having him barely covered.

It was Ziegler's {q-Spades}{j-Spades} against Neuville's {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, but Ziegler was all over the {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop. Neuville still had the lead, but lost it on the {j-Hearts} turn. Zeigler finished it off with the {7-Hearts} river and got the double.

Neuville was left with less than 60,000, but doubled that, running the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} into Michael Tureniec's {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and flopping a set. However, the classy 2015 WSOP Main Event third-place finisher is still in the danger zone.

On the turn the {4-Spades} hit and both players checked.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Muehloecker called another 100,000. Vaughn showed {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Muehloecker raked it in after tabling {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.
