Nick Maimone and Chris Johnson were involved in a pot on the flop. Maimone checked, Johnson bet 1,500, and Maimone called.
The turn was the , and Maimone led with a bet of 4,200. Johnson stuck around to see the complete the board on the river. Maimone bet 7,000, and Johnson gave it up.
Ahmed Karrim was off to a great start in Level 1, but now a little over two hours later he's sitting on his second bullet on a new table.
Karrim told us how he raised to 300, his opponent three-bet to 900 and he came back over the top with ace-king to 2,600.
"He five-bet to 6,000 with like 11,000 behind," Karrim said, and he called the raise.
The flop brought out and both players checked. On the turn a hit and Karrim check-called a bet of 4,400. The river completed the board with a and Karrim put his opponent all in for his last 7,700.
"He called and showed ," Karrim said with a wry smile on his face, as he lost a massive pot.
A few hands later he busted his first bullet when he flopped a flush with on against pocket aces, and after the money went in the board paired immediately on the turn.
Karrim's back in now and sitting on around 30,000 chips.

Akash Malik has inched is way up near the top of the group trailing current chip leader Shashank Jain.
Coincidentally, both players are from India, have played poker together for years, and traveled to Las Vegas this summer together to hunt big scores surrounding the WSOP.
They both recently ran deep together in an event at another venue, and while they sit at opposite ends of the room today, they're looking like a good bet to do the same here.
Malik's been running over his table, evidenced by a hand moments ago where he blew Joey Couden off a pot, check-raising and five-bet shoving a flop.
At least two other players at his table claim to have been bluffed by Malik, as he's got it up to three times starting now, and counting.

Calvin Anderson, who appears to be at least the second biggest beneficiary of Benny Glaser's amazing double-bracelet winning summer at the WSOP, having picked him up in the 25k Fantasy Draft that his team now leads, appears poised to make a mark of his own here at the Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 Championship Event.
He made it 700 preflop and only the button called, sending them heads-up to a flop. Anderson continued for 700, and the button called, bringing the turn into play. They both checked, and did the same on the river.
Anderson showed the , and despite losing to his opponent's dominated , still has 80,000 and a spot among the leaders with the day's midway point in site.

Sliding into the field over the past level was one Ana Marquez, who won the inaugural Hollywood Poker Open Championship Event back in 2013.
Marquez earned $320,189 taking down the title, defeating a field 631 that generated a prize pool of $1,423,062.
Perhaps even more impressive was the fact the final table was stacked, with names like Ryan Tepen, Kory Kilpatrick, Ramzi Jelassi, Sam Stein, Max Greenwood, and Ben Palmer all making appearances.
Marquez starts today's flight with that pedigree, and the same 25,000 in chips as everyone else, although she appears to have already improved upon that.
