Johnson Uses River Bet

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Adam Johnson bet 5,100 into the pot of roughly the same amount on a board that read {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

His opponent had to think it over for a while before ultimately relenting his hand and Johnson took down the pot.

Season XV of the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) has been a big one with stops at the Hollywood Casinos in St. Louis and the Cincinnati area (Lawrenceburg, Indiana), The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Pittsburgh, and Ameristar East Chicago. On the river on a board that read {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, Gary Schwartz bet 9,000 into a pot of about 14,000. Frank Dellaria thought it over fora few moments.

"You flopped a flush on me huh?" he asked Schwartz before thinking some more and eventually pitching his cars into the muck as his early bigger stack took a slight hit.

Banhidy Leads Into Table

Four players saw an all diamond flop of {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Penelope Banhidy lead out into three opponents from the small blind with a bet of 3,000. Her opponents all folded, with one thinking for a while longer than the other two to give Banhidy the nice pot.

Action was picked up on the turn on a board that read {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Leonard Borowski called the hefty bet of 7,000 from his opponent and they saw the {6-Spades} appear on the river.

Borowski checked and his opponent checked behind after a few moments of thought. Borowski showed the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for a rivered nut flush and took in the pot.

Well known poker legend Greg Raymer has entered the field and was involved in a few pots in his latest round of action.

Hand 1 (Early Position): folded pre-flop

Hand 2 (Early Position): Limped 200, then called the raise to 600. Flop came {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} with four players. Raymer folded to the bet.

Hand 3 (Under the Gun): Folded preflop.

Hand 4 (Big Blind): Folded to a preflop raiser.

Hand 5 (Small Blind): Folded to a preflop raiser.

Hand 6 (Button): Limped 200 after three players limped in front. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and action checked around. The turn was the {q-Hearts}. One player bet 500 and Raymer folded.

Hand 7 (Cutoff): Limped 200 after the player in front of him limped. The flop came {2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Raymer bet 400 and his opponents folded and he took the pot.

Hand 8 (Hijack): Raymer raised to 500 and got one caller. The flop was {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Raymer continued for 600 which folded out his opponent.
