Haner Wins the Race

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bill Haner
Bill Haner

Bill Haner opened with a raise from the cutoff and the big blind player three-bet. Action was back on Haner who moved all in for 18,000 and his opponent called.

Bill Haner: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

It was a classic race with Haner holding the two overcards but he couldn't connect on the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop.

The turn, however, fell the {q-Clubs} pairing Haner's queen and he would improve with the {a-Diamonds} river to get a much needed double before the dinner break.
