The second of three Day 1 flights for the $1,650 HPT Black Hawk Main Event pushed the Golden Gates to their limits with 221 entrants for the day. A few waves of long alternate lists dominated the early part of the day but after the day settled in players were able to rebuy with ease. Following 15 levels of action, David Litt leads the field after bagging up a touch over 600,000.

In the late levels there were a couple of players flirting with counts in the 400,000s but by night's end Adam Demersseman and Eric Hall were a distant second place each with 358,000. James Carroll rounded out the chase pack with 348,000. Ralph Massey, Jared Ottoson and Angel Howell all return for Day 2 with a more average stack.

Several players couldn't get things going the right way today and fell short of bagging, including; Aaron Massey, Faraz Jaka, John Beauprez and Allen Kessler.

Saturday is the final flight and tournament organizers are expecting a huge field. Players can buy in as early as 10 am and are being told to expect long lines. They'll play the same schedule but have an hour less of turnaround time when Sunday gets going at 11 am.

Day 1A drew 81 entrants with 15 survivors and Day 1B drew 221 entrants with 34 survivors - making for 302 total entrants and 49 Day 2 players.

The board finished {5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}, Litt made Broadway and the unknown player took a moment before leaving the table.
