While the field was on break the tournament staff opened up two new tables. Current alternates are being called and the lobby looks empty of waiting players at the moment.

The first three rather chaotic levels are in the books and the field is on their first break of the day. There looks to be two more tables worth of players on the alternate list and one table ready to come into action after the break.
We caught this hand on the flop between Aaron Massey, Caleb Shumard and Khoa Nguyen. The board was ![]()

, Massey moved all in and Shumer went deep into the tank. He thought for so long that Massey, who had a massage therapist waiting for him, got up and turned around in his seat. Eventually, a player not involved in the hand called the clock on Shumer and he moved all in.
Massey exposed his cards early on accident, with Nguyen still to act behind Shumer. Now it was Nguyen's turn to tank as he only glimpsed what Massey held. He eventually announced all in and the cards were tabled.

Season XV of the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) is shaping up to be a big one with stops at the Hollywood Casinos in St. Louis and the Cincinnati area (Lawrenceburg, Indiana), The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Pittsburgh, and Ameristar East Chicago.
