Kyle Parrish (left) and Robert Hankins

Parrish four-bet to 4,800 and Hankins called.

Flop came {q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Parrish bet 3,000 and Hankins called.

Parrish checked the {k-Clubs} on the turn. Hankins bet 4,400 and got a call from Parrish.

Phillips Defends His Big Blind

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

Preflop action folded around to a player in middle position and he raised to 800, getting called by the player in the cutoff and Dennis Phillips from his big blind.

After Phillips checked the {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, the original raiser put out a continuation bet of 1,500, which prompted a fold from the player in the cutoff.

Phillips then check-raised to 3,000, and after getting called, he bet out 4,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn, which was enough to take down the pot.

Davis Off to a Hot Start

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante
Charles Davis
Charles Davis

Charles Davis has got off to a hot start here on Day 1a having already worked his 30K starting stack up to 80K before the first break.

In a recent hand, Davis limped under the gun and the next player to act raised to 1,500. Action folded back to Davis and he called to see a {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop.

Davis check-called a bet of 2,300 and the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}, which both players checked.

When the {q-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Davis checked for the third time and his opponent bet 3,000. Davis wasted little time in check-raising to 10,000 and his opponent thought for a bit before making the call.

Davis tabled the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for kinds and threes, which was good as his opponent sent his cards to the muck.

Everyone (Almost) Wants to See a Flop

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

A player in middle position raised to 800 and got called by five players, including both blinds.

After all six players checked the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, Billy Collins led out for 2200 on the {a-Spades} turn, which was enough to get the other five players to fold, and took down a nice little pot.

Ellington Doubles Up

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

Table 43 saw early fireworks when the player sitting with the button raised to 1,400. Mike Ellington called from the hijack, along with Clay Wideman from the cutoff.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Ellington shoved all-in for 16,400. Wideman made the call and the button folded.

Ellington turned over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a flopped set against Wideman's {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} straight and flush draw.

The turn and river showed a {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} which gave Ellington a full house and the double up.
