Eise Takes One Out

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

After Mike Eise raised from UTG to 900, a player in middle position three-bet to 3,600, and action folded back to Eise who made the call.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and Eise checked over to the middle-position player who continued for 3,600.

Eisen then check-raised all in, and the middle-position player quickly called. The middle-position player was ahead but at risk and needed his hand to hold.

Middle-position: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Eise: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Unfortunately the middle-position player was drawing dead when the dealer put the {q-Hearts} on the turn.

He then pushed his remaining stack to the middle, and exited the tournament area.

Bunte Takes the Pot

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Alex Bunte raised to 1,100 from the cutoff and got a call from the Allen Ray on the button.

Both players checked the {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop.

The turn showed the {q-Clubs}. Bunte checked called Ray's 2,000 bet.

Bunte threw a 2,600 bet with the river {5-Spades} and Ray mucked his hand.

Stahr Doubles With Quad Tens

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Mike Kamenjarin called us over to Table 32 as a big hand was playing out. We arrived on the river with a board reading {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Cathy Stahr was all in.

Stahr: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

As it was told to us, Kamenjarin had raised preflop with {a-}{k-} and the other two players called. The player with fives bet the flop and only Stahr called.

There was some more action on the turn, and on the river the chips went in. Just like that Stahr's flopped quads doubled through the rivered boat.

That Escalated Quickly

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Mike Sloan raised to 2,000 from middle position, and it folded around to Jim Fondy who three-bet to 10,000.

The player on the button flat-called, the player in the small blind then shoved for 9,000, and Sloan made the call for the additional 8,000, which created a side pot.

After Sloan checked the {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, Fondy bet 17,000, which prompted folds from the player on the button and Sloan and sent the side pot to Fondy, who tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top set.

The player in the small blind then tabled {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, which showed he was drawing very thin.

The turn {9-Clubs} and river {7-Hearts} were of no help and sent him to the rail.

Meanwhile, Fondy collected the massive pot.

Minnesotian MSPT Champs Collide

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

2018 HPT Player of the Year Aaron Johnson raised to 1,800 in mid position after the player UTG limped in. The player to Johnson's left made the call while MSPT Hall of Famer Kou Vang moved all-in on the button for 7,000 with {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and he was called by Johnson who flipped over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} giving Johnson the win and eliminating Vang.
