Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Steve Dill got his last 57,000 all in preflop and found himself in dire straits against Stephen Green.

Green: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Dill: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Dill had a kicker problem and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out {2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

Echele Doubles Through Johnson

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

We arrived at Table 31 after a flop of {8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Andy Echele pushed all in and was quickly called by Bradley Johnson.

Echele: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Johnson: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Echele was far behind Johnson's flopped two pair until a {6-Spades} came on the turn.

Echele's tournament hope relied on a nine and a nine only which he ended up getting the {9-Spades} on the river giving him the double up.

Kessler Rivers Smith Out of the Tournament

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action folded to Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler on the button and he raised to 13,000. Jerod Smith was in the big blind and three-bet jammed for 54,000 total and Kessler thought for a solid 90 seconds before making the call.

Kessler: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Smith: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

It was a flip and Smith was just looking to hold to stay alive. He did so through both the {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop and {6-Spades} river, but then the {k-Spades} spiked on the river to pair Kessler.

"Take longer next time Allen," Smith said before heading for the exit.

Daugherty Check-Shoves With Authority

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Matthew Daugherty limped from middle position and then called the late position preflop raise of 30,000 from Josh Shmerl.

The players then went headsup to a flop of {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, where Daugherty again checked.

Shmerl continued with another bet of 30,000, and Daugherty responded by immediatley check-raising all in, which got Shmerl to quickly release his hand.

Burden Beats Down McPike

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ed McPike got his short stack all in on a {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and found himself at risk against MSPT champ Tim Burden.

Burden: {8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
McPike: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Both players had straight draws but neither would complete them on the {5-Spades} turn nor {8-Clubs} river. However, Burden did manage to make a pair and that was good enough to win the pot.
