Snuffer on Crumbs

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Iverson Snuffer opened to 2,800 from under the gun and Michael Shanahan three-bet to 5,500 directly to his left. The action folded back to Snuffer who called to see a flop of {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

Both players checked and the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn. Snuffer led out for 3,500 and Shanahan min-raised to 7,000. Snuffer called and the {6-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Snuffer checked and Shanahan spared his opponent his last few chips by checking back.

Snuffer turned over {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} but Shanahan had a stronger kicker with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Shanahan pulled in the pot and Snuffer is down to just six big blinds.

Batt Forces a Quick Fold from Apter

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With around 14,000 in the middle and the board reading {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Brian Batt bet 7,200 from middle position. Brett Apter called from the button and the {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Batt checked this time and Apter thought for a minute before betting 12,000. Batt quickly called and the {a-Spades} completed the board. Batt counted out a bet of 32,000 and Apter instantly pushed his cards to the muck, sending the pot to Batt.

Two Big Stacks Collide

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Hae Yim
Hae Yim

The action folded around to Hae Yim on the button who bumped it up to 2,500. Dustin Foster defended from the big blind and the flop came {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Foster started with a check and Yim tossed in a bet of 3,000. Foster check-raised to 10,000 only to have Yim three-bet to 23,000.

Foster called and the {9-Clubs} paired the board on the turn. Foster checked again and Yim stood up as he shoved his stack of 75,200 into the middle. Foster leaned back in his chair knowing this would take some time to come to a decision in what could be the largest pot of the day thus far. After about three minutes, with Yim standing the entire time, Foster finally let his hand go and Yim collected the pot.

Yeager Puts His Late Entry to Use

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Greg Yeager just recently took his seat for the first time in the Main Event and he wasted little time putting his stack to good use. Yeager opened to 2,000 in middle position and was called by only the button.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Yeager continued for 2,700. His opponent raised to 5,800 and Yeager called to see the {6-Clubs} on the turn. Yeager checked and his opponent slid in a bet of 7,300. Yeager check-raised all in for 27,400 and his opponent called.

Yeager turned over {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a straight while his opponent held {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair. The {5-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Yeager scored a double up on his first orbit of the day.
