Simms Out-Kicks Dougherty

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Matthew Dougherty limped in from middle position and Garry Simms raised it up to 1,500 in the cutoff. Brian Bauman called on the button as did Kyle Besaw in the small blind and Dougherty.

The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Besaw checked to Dougherty who bet out 3,000. Simms raised to 8,000 and both Bauman and Besaw folded. Dougherty called to see the {9-Spades} pair the board on the turn.

Dougherty check-called another bet of 7,000 from Simms and the {7-Hearts} landed on the river. Four cards to a straight on the board slowed down the action as both players knuckled the table. Dougherty tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} but Simms had a stronger kicker with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} to rake in the pot.

Sully Binks the Turn

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Joseph Landazzi opened to 1,700 from early position and was called by a player in middle position. Matthew Wright intended to call but accidentally put out a raise to 3,000. Brendan Sully called on the button as did Landazzi and the fourth player.

The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to Sully who bet 6,100. Landazzi check-raised to 16,100 which forced the other two players out of the hand. Sully thought for a minute and then moved all in for 24,900 which prompted a snap-call from Landazzi.

Sully turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} but was up against a set when Landazzi tabled {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. However, the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Sully a larger set and huge lead in the hand. The river was the {3-Spades} and Sully managed to find a double up.

Tran Flops the Nuts

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, the action was checked to David Tran in middle position who bet 1,200. Thomas Minnichweber called from the cutoff and Michaile Richards check-raised to 4,000 from the small blind. Tran and Minnichweber both called to see the {k-Diamonds} on the turn.

Richards led out for 6,000 and Tran quickly pushed all in. Minnichweber stepped aside and Richards had a decision to make for her remaining 12,000 chips. She thought for a minute and decided to muck her cards as Tran showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for a flopped straight.

Bazeley's River Raise Doesn't Work

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

A completed board of {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was spread across the felt and Stephen Green had a bet of 2,300 sitting in front of him. Jake Bazeley contemplated what to do from the button with a pot of around 6,000 up for grabs and he dropped in a raise to 10,000.

Green thought for a brief moment and then made the call. Bazeley turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} but Green out-flopped him with {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a set of fours to scoop the pot.

Michalak Sucks Out for a Big One

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

With around 2,000 in the pot, the dealer fanned the flop of {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. It took some raising back and forth between John Michalak and Michael Kravochuck, but all of the chips got in the middle with Michalak being at risk for 28,800.

John Michalak: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Michael Kravochuck: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

Michalak flopped top two pair but Kravochuck had the straight and a stranglehold on the hand. However, the {j-Clubs} on the turn improved Michalak to a full house and he earned a full double up.

Besaw Holds for a Double Up

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante
Kyle Besaw
Kyle Besaw

After a limp from early position, the hijack raised it up to 1,100. Kyle Besaw three-bet to 3,000 from the cutoff and Troy Weber flat-called from the button. The action folded back to the initial raiser in the hijack who also made the call.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} and the hijack checked to Besaw who continued for 5,000. Weber folded his button and the hijack called. The turn was the {2-Spades} and the hijack led out for 7,000 this time. Besaw moved all in for 15,600 and his opponent reluctantly made the call.

Besaw was ahead with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} against his opponent's one overcard and flush draw with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Besaw held on to score a full double up.
