Graham Gets Aces At the Right Time

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ruth Graham had just gotten her last 25,000 or so all in preflop from the small blind versus an opponent in early position.

Ruth Graham: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Early-Position Player: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Graham was out in front in great shape to double up as the flop came {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, giving her opponent two immediate outs at a full house. He would not improve any further, though, as the turn {6-Clubs} and river {8-Diamonds} completed the runout with Graham's aces remaining best to earn her the double.

Levi Picks One Off

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

David Levi opened the action with a raise to 8,000 from early position and received a call from the player on his left. Action then folded around to Johnathan Dempsey, who was on the button and called.

The three saw a flop of {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and all three players checked. The turn came {4-Hearts} and Levi bet 11,000. The player on his left called and Dempsey folded.

The river fell {10-Spades} and Levi checked. His opponent bet 18,000 and he quickly dropped in a chip to call, looking over to see what his opponent would have.

The player did not move; neither did Levi. Eventually {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} was tabled and Levi responded by showing {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, taking down the pot with top two pair to bring him to a stack of around 147,000.

Lekarczyk Leaves Himself Crumbs

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Spencer Champlin was in early position and raised to 8,000. Action then folded around to the small blind, who called. Mitch Lekarczyk was in the big blind and defended to take the action three ways to a flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The small blind checked. Lekarczyk bet 6,500 and was called by Champlin. The small blind got out of their way.

The turn fell {8-Diamonds} and Lekarczyk checked. Champlin looked at Lekarczyk's remaining stack of 15,000 and then slid forward enough T5,000 chips to more than double that.

Lekarczyk then went into the tank, looking pained as he put his face into his hands. Eventually, he let his hand go and the pot was shipped Champlin's way.

Kurtz Piles the River

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

There was around 17,000 in the middle on a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Kevin Kurtz checked from under the gun. His opponent was in the cutoff and bet 5,000. Kurtz check-raised to 10,000 and his opponent called.

The turn came {q-Spades} and Kurtz continued, betting another 15,000. His opponent stuck around and the river came {8-Diamonds}. Kurtz then took all of his chips and compiled them into one stack before sliding them forward with an accompanying all-in announcement.

The cutoff thought for about 30 seconds and let his hand go, earning Kurtz the pot and vaulting him over 100,000 in chips along the way.
