DeSmedt Raised By Byram

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nick DeSmedt raised to 2,300 from under the gun, and Bobby Byram called next to act.

DeSmedt bet 3,000 on the {3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, and Byram called.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the turn, and DeSmedt bet 5,000. Byram raised to 15,000, and DeSmedt tanked for a minute before folding.

Holliday Finds River Magic to Double

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Holliday in the small blind and Zaki Sheikh on the button got into a raising war on a {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop, resulting in Holliday getting his last 30,200 in chips committed to the pot, and Skeikh putting him at risk.

Jeremy Holliday: {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Zaki Sheikh: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Holliday's kicker looked like it would cost him his tournament life after the {9-Spades} fell on the turn, but the {6-Diamonds} river gave him an unlikely full house and a double-up.

"I just keep folding big hands," Holliday told the table after the bad beat.

Heine Passionate About Beef Jerky, Sets

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Keith Heine
Keith Heine

A player limped in from early position, and Ricky Stinson raised to 2,000 in the hijack. The button called, and action folded to Keith Heine in the big blind.

"I give you beef jerky and you raise my big blind?" Heine said with a grin before calling, and the early-position limper called the raise as well.

Heine checked an {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop to the early-position player, who bet 5,000. Stinson folded, and the button called. Heine check-raised to 15,000, sending the early-position player deep into the tank. After a few minutes, he folded, and the button flashed the {a-Hearts} before folding as well. Heine tabled {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a set of tens, then raked in the pot.

Izadi Finds the Right River For a Dub

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Hamid Izadi
Hamid Izadi

Four players saw a {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Spades} flop together, and action checked to Donnie Phan in the cutoff. Phan bet 1,500 into the 4,000 chip pot, and only Hamid Izadi called in the small blind.

Both players checked the {4-Hearts} turn, and the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river. Izadi led out for 3,700, and Phan raised to 9,000. Izadi shoved for 19,800, and Phan snap-called, tabling {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush draw that hit a straight on the river. Izadi rivered the nut straight with his {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, however, and earned the double.

Moscati Wins, Table Breaks

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Vincent Moscati limped in on the button, and the small blind limped in as well. Chris Cornell checked his option in the big blind, and all three players saw the {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop together.

The small blind led out for 1,600, and only Moscati called to see the {9-Clubs} fall on the turn. Both players checked to the {j-Clubs} river, where the small blind checked again. Moscati bet 3,000 and the small blind folded. Moscati flashed the {a-Diamonds} from his hand, and the tournament director brought racks to the table, breaking up a dangerous table that included Henry Zou and James Pupillo in its ranks.

Lowery Jams

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Daniel Lowery
Daniel Lowery

Daniel Lowery raised to 3,000 from under the gun, and was called by Jonathan Williams in the hijack, as well as the player in the small blind.

The small blind checked a {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop to Lowery, who bet 3,500. Williams called, and the small blind check-raised to 12,000. Lowery three-bet to 54,500, leaving himself a single 100 chip behind. Williams folded, and the small blind tanked for a minute.

"You got a set?" the small blind asked Lowery, who didn't respond. The small blind eventually folded.

Kinder's Jacks Run Smack Into Pupillo's Aces

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Nick Pupillo opened to 1,500 from under the gun, and Kyle Kinder three-bet to 5,600 next to act. Pupillo four-bet to 16,500 and Kinder called.

Pupillo checked the {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop to Kinder, who bet 27,000, leaving himself 2,000 behind. Pupillo put a column of 5k chips in the pot to put Kinder at risk, and Kinder quickly called his last few chips off.

Nick Pupillo: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Kyle Kinder: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Pupillo's aces needed to fade a queen, jack or seven to knockout Kinder, and the {k-Hearts} turn and {8-Hearts} river kept the rockets in command.

"Can't ask for a better flop for jacks!" Kinder said before leaving the tournament area.
