The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is at the Daytona Beach Racing and Card Club to live report the $1,100 Main Event, but this is just one of several tournaments on the HPT Daytona Beach schedule.
For the past week, the venue had played host to a series of side events, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the lucky winners from those tournaments.
One of the prelims was Event #4: $165 No-Limit Hold’em, which attracted 48 runners and offered up a $6,720 prize pool.
Only the top five got paid and in the end, it was Wilmer Chavira of Altamonte Springs, Florida besting Peter Schultz in heads-up play to win the title and $2,352 first-place prize.

The turned board showed and there was around 8,500 in the pot. Toni Fiorenza checked to a player on the button who bet 6,500 and Fiorenza check-raised to 15,000.
Her opponent moved all in for just under 20,000 and Fiorenza snap-called, putting her opponent at risk of elimination. Her opponent tabled for an overpair with a lot of draws, but none of them were good as Fiorenza showed for the nut flush as her opponent was then drawing dead to the river card.
