Quint Holds Versus Combo Draw for a Bust

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Quintis Simpson
Quintis Simpson

The small blind led out for 1,500 on a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} in a limped pot, and the next-to-act big blind quickly stacked his remaining 15,300 and pushed it forward. Quint Simpson called on the button, and the small blind threw it away.

"Big draw, man. Big draw," said the player at risk.

Big Blind: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Quint Simpson: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The big blind amended his statement when he saw Simpson's higher flush draw, saying, "Not so big draw," and graciously left the table when neither the {q-Diamonds} turn or {k-Diamonds} river gave him a pair or completed his gutshot.

"Look at That Turn, Though. I'm Not Folding."

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Following a 1,300 open from a player in early position and a call from the hijack, Aaron Massey flicked in a 5k chip, announcing "4,800," in the cutoff. Jean Gaspard counted out his chips before calling in the small blind, and everyone else mucked.

Heads up on a flop of {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, action went check-check, as did the {6-Diamonds} turn.

Gaspard checked the {k-Clubs} river, and Massey bet 3,000. Gaspard called without hesitation, and Massey showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for a turned nut flush draw and rivered top pair, top kicker. Gaspard laughed as he mucked, saying, "I let him get there."

"Look at that turn, though. I'm not folding," responded Massey, pulling in his latest winnings.

Brokaw Holds with Middling Pair

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Jean Gaspard opened from under the gun to 1,400, and only Nick Brokaw called on the button.

Both players quickly checked both the {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and {2-Diamonds} turn.

The {10-Spades} river went check-check as well, and Brokaw rolled over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for one-pair and the rights to the chips.

Clark Trucks Gaspard For a Dub

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Scotter Clark
Scotter Clark

Scotter Clark checked a {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} board over to Jean Gaspard in the hijack, who bet 11,000 into a pot of 20,000. Clark took his remaining 28,600 in chips and placed them on a miniature tractor-trailer truck that he was using as a card protector and rolled it into the pot, saying, "All in," as he did.

Gaspard couldn't help but laugh as he asked, "How much is that?" The dealer confirmed the 17,600 difference in chips for Gaspard, and he called.

Scotter Clark: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Jean Gaspard: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

"I need a king," Gaspard said. He could also win with an eight, but the {7-Spades} sent the double to Clark.

Schroeder Check-Raises Dry Flop

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Austin Tjaden opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and was called by the button and Derek Schroeder in the small blind.

Schroeder checked the {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop over to Tjaden, who continued for 2,500. The button instantly spun his cards into the middle, and Schroeder collected several chips for a check-raise to 6,500.

Tjaden didn't give the decision much thought before sending his cards into the muck.

Brett Reichard

The {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Spades} board was on the felt when Brett Reichard bet 6,000 from the big blind into a pot of 10,000. Timothy Vance quickly folded in middle position, while Blake Whittington tossed a chip in the pot immediately after to call.

Reichard tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} for the nuts, and Whittington mucked.

Dawson Bets Small on River

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Charlie Dawson
Charlie Dawson

Charlie Dawson opened to 1,500 in the hijack and was called by the players on the button and in the big blind.

The {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop quickly checked around, as did the {8-Hearts} turn, adding a pair and three to the flush on the board.

When checked to on the {3-Clubs} river, Dawson tossed out a small bet of 1,000, and his opponents swiftly tossed their cards away.
