Micallef Left With Chip and a Chair, Can't Spin it Up

Level 5 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was picked up on the flop of J49 with Matthew Micallef and Sinan Yuce checking in the small and big blind. Stephen Kavanagh checked from under the gun as did Robertas Gludkinas in middle position.

The 5 saw Micallef lead for 2,200. Yuce called and Kavanagh and Gludkinas folded. Micallef led again for 5,000 on the 2 river. Yuce then raised to 16,000 and Micallef called.

His J8 was bested by Yuce's two pair of J9. Micallef bust a few hands later.

Al-Shanti Ahmad opened from middle position to 1,000. Dinesh Alt called in the cutoff, as did Padraic Cusack on the button and Ashleigh Naisbitt in the small blind.

The J6K flop was checked around before Naisbitt checked again on the 2 turn. Ahmad then bet 2,000. Alt and Cusack folded and Naisbitt called.

She then led for 7,000 on the K river. Ahmad then moved all in for 14,100. Naisbitt called and showed K10 for trips. However she was bested by Ahmad's 66 for a full house.

Boun Barrells Two Streets

Sing Boun opened to 900 from under the gun. He was called by Thor Morstoel in the hijack, Justin Tsui on the button and Sia Browne in the big blind.

Browne, Boun and Morstoel checked the 497 flop to Tsui who bet 1,500. Browne folded, Boun called and did Morstoel. On the Q Boun led for 6,000, Morstoel folded and Tsui called.

The K saw another lead from Boun, this time for 16,000. Tsui tanked for a moment before calling. Boun tabled J10 for a king-high straight and Tsui mucked.

Mostefa led for 1,600 on the flop of 610Q. Thanos called. Mostefa led again for 3,500 on the 8 turn. Thanos called again. Mostefa fired once more for 16,000. Thanos tanked before finding the call.

He had A10 for a pair of tens which bested the A9 of Mostefa.
