Robbie Bull got his 750,000 chips in from the small blind and was up against Adrian Ziemichod under the gun.
Robbie Bull: A♥J♣
Adrian Ziemichod: K♠K♦
Bull was left to running outs after the 3♥K♥2♣ flop, with the 8♠ turn leaving him with no outs. The J♦ river was of no use as Bull said his goodbyes to the table.
Mark Murphy opened to 100,000 from the hijack. Robert Sherwood raised to 300,000 from the button. Murphy then raised all in for around 1,000,000, Sherwood called.
Mark Murphy: 10♠10♥
Robert Sherwood: K♠J♣
The 9♠Q♠J♠ flop gave both players a piece, but Sherwood had top pair and a superior spade. However the 8♠ gave Murphy a straight flush leaving Sherwood drawing dead. The 5♦ was inconsequential and Murphy celebrated his double up.
Martin Surovec was all in for 100,000 from under the gun. Eduard Fechita called in middle position. Nikolaos Angelou called on the button as did Robert Sherwood in the small blind and Patrick Eagers from the big blind.
Both blinds checked the 10♦J♥2♦ flop to Fechita who quickly moved all in. Angelou, Sherwood and Eagers all folded.
Martin Surovec: K♠K♣
Eduard Fechita: 2♣2♥
Fechita had flopped a set of deuces and held across the 8♣ turn and 5♠ river to send Surovec to the rail.
Tobias Peters raised to 80,000 in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 350,000 from big blind Sandro Zarriello.
Zarriello continued for 500,000 on the J♦3♠10♥ flop, which Peters called after some thought. Zarriello then moved his remaining 800,000 in on the K♥ turn, being snap-called by Peters.
Sandro Zarriello: A♠A♦
Tobias Peters: 3♦3♣
Peters had flopped a set for a big lead over Zarriello's aces. The 5♠ river did not give Zarriello a straight or a higher set, and he was consequently eliminated.
Vikrum Mehta open-jammed his small blind, and Kelley Slay quickly called off his last 315,000 in the big blind.
Kelley Slay: A♦6♣
Vikrum Mehta: 7♦4♦
Mehta flopped trips on 3♦4♠4♣ for a commanding lead, while Slay turned a glimmer of hope with the A♣. The J♦ river bricked, however, leaving Slay empty-handed.
"What can I do?" he asked rhetorically before leaving the tournament area.
Action was picked up on the river of 7♥5♠8♠7♦Q♠ with around 1,100,000 in the pot. Philip Joyce was all in and at risk for around 200,000. Stephen Freeman, Terrance Reid and Fabian Rolli all got into the pot to attempt to claim Joyce's bounty token.
The river was checked down and all cards had to be shown. Freeman had 9♣10♥, Reid had A♣4♣ but Joyce had the winner with 8♥7♣ for a full house.
Yurii Zabrodotskyi had opened from the button when Michael Khan shoved in his stack of 565,000 from the small blind. Zabrodotskyi made a quick call, and the cards were tabled.
Michael Khan: A♠5♦
Yurii Zabrodotskyi: 9♥8♥
Khan remained ahead on the 5♠7♥7♣2♠A♦ board, doubling him up.
A few hands later, Zabrodotskyi had opened from the hijack before big blind Emmett Mullin went all in for 540,000. After some deliberation, Zabrodotskyi made the call with the covering stack.
Emmett Mullin: J♦J♣
Yurii Zabrodotskyi: J♠7♣
The 3♣3♥6♦7♥ turn gave Zabrodotskyi some outs, but the 3♠ river made Mullin a higher full house to take down the pot, doubling up and leaving Zabrodtskyi with 25 big blinds.
Shortly before Leonel Guerra Garza was eliminated from another table.
Mark Murphy opened from the cutoff to 80,000. Robert Sherwood called in the small blind before Patrick Eagers jammed all in for 735,000. Murphy called and Sherwood folded.
Patrick Eagers: 7♠7♦
Mark Murphy: K♣Q♠
Eagers won the flip across the 4♦6♣A♣5♠5♣ runout to secure the double up.
