Molenaar Doubles Up as Toan Gambles

Gilles Simon opened to 50,000 from early position. It folded to Robbie Toan in the small blind, who three-bet to 185,000. Michel Molenaar then spent one time bank before committing his stack of 490,000 in the middle.

Simon made a quick fold, but Toan went into the tank. "Am I gambling?" he asked himself while he spent two time extensions. "Fuck it," he eventually said as he slammed in a call.

Robbie Toan raised to 55,000 in early position. Simon Wilson called in the small blind, and the two players went to a flop of A♦8♦A♣. Toan continued for 25,000, and Wilson check-called.

Toan sized up to 60,000 on the 4♠ turn, again seeing his fellow Irishman check-call. The 5♦ river was quickly checked down. Toan tabled A♠Q♠ for trip aces, and was awarded the pot when Wilson added his cards to the muck.

Christopher Nguyen raised to 40,000 from early position, which Robbie Toan made 135,000 to go in the big blind. Nguyen called to the 8♦8♥3♦ flop, where Toan fired an additional 125,000.

Nguyen spent one time bank before making a small raise to 275,000, after which Toan instantly shoved all in. Nguyen quickly folded, leaving himself about 25 big blinds to play with.

The 6♣ hit the turn and saw Toan make a bet of 70,000. Nguyen called before Wilson mucked his cards. Toan slowed down on the 9♠ river, checking before calling Nguyen's bet of 110,000.

Nguyen table 9♥9♣ for a set of nines, taking down the pot as Toan added his cards to the muck.
