Boothby Doubles Dire Stack
Level 7
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Roland Boothby had shoved his last 9,300 chips in from the small blind and was looked up by Damien Gallagher in the big blind.
Roland Boothby: A♦9♦
Damien Gallagher: Q♠J♠
Boothby employed the stand-up trick, and it did not fail him as the 6♦K♥9♥4♦9♠ runout saw him hit trips, securing his double-up.
