Phelan went deep into the tank and spent several minutes agonizing over his decision, picking up his chips sporadically and peering at the board and his opponent. Phelan eventually made the call.

Keogh turned over A♥9♦ for a pair of nines, the ace kicker proving crucial against Phelan's 9♥6♠. Phelan's flopped two pair had unfortunately been counterfeited by the runout.
