Travers Profits From Set
Level 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Mark McNabb and Ambrose Travers were heads up on a flop of 6♥9♠8♣. With around 4,000 chips in the middle, McNabb bet 3,000 from middle position, which Travers called from the button.
McNabb sized up a bit to 4,000 on the 4♠ turn, and another call followed. On the 3♦ river, McNabb splashed in a large bet of 15,000 chips, but Travers still called without thinking too long.
McNabb showed his 6♠5♠ for one pair of sixes, which Travers had outclassed with his 9♥9♦ for top set.
