Jordaan Gets Counterfeited
Level 14
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Leon Jordaan got his stack of 89,500 in the middle from the small blind against Thomas Trotman-Dickenson in the big blind, who played the covering stack.
Leon Jordaan: 3♠3♦
Thomas Trotman-Dickenson: A♦Q♥
Jordaan remained safe on the 5♥9♠9♣J♣ runout, but the J♦ river counterfeited his pocket pair as he ended up playing the board. Trotman-Dickenson's ace kicker played, seeing him obtain a stack of 40 big blinds.
